    EUROPE AND EAST ASIA ‘HAVE DONE BETTER’ BECAUSE OF TERRITORIAL ADVANTAGE WITHIN GEOGRAPHIC FORTRESSES

    Fortress Europa obtained non-territorial advantage by:

    A COLLECTION of hypotheses that include:

    a) europeans have higher neuroticism (creativity)

    b) europeans have lower clannishness (dislike of outsiders)

    c) europeans have dramatically reduced the size of the underclass ( produced a higher distribution of Iq, and lower distribution of testosterone)

    d) there seems to be a longstanding IQ advantage in the north and an intellectual tradition into pre-history in the british isles (the ‘athens’ of pre-literate europe).

    e) the yamnaya brought aryanism (realism, sovereignty, martial rule, hierarchical organization, testimony, jury, common law ) to europe. And that this has been our most meaningful competitive advantage.

    f) that each wave of europeans out of Ukraine has been as much an ‘improvement’ over the prior as each wave out of Africa was an ‘improvement’ over the prior – for the same reason; africa and the steppe are brutal evolutionary furnaces.

    As far as I know all these hypotheses survive all possible scrutiny without requiring a particular genetic advantage other than perhaps reduced clannishness common among circumpolar peoples.

    This is why I adhere to this solution. Because it does not depend upon ‘magical’ genetics evolving by accidental mutation in the european genome, but merely adaptation to local conditions from a marginally indifferent set of homo sapiens in the past.

    As far as I know all human variation is in intensity of expression of possibilities extant already in the genome.

    Our second wave created a bronze civilization in central europe, and advanced all of europe by doing so.

    Our third wave out of the Ukraine combined horse, wheel, bronze, and aristocracy to conquered the world from Spain to china and then slowly drag humanity out of ignorance, superstition, poverty, disease, dysgenic reproduction, and tyranny.

    – the bottom is more costly than the top advantagous.

    – civilization consists as much of culling the bottom as educating the remainder.

    – institutions whther informal, normative, or formal, must serve the median, and imprison those above it.

    – its’ not possible to organize a voluntary organization of production if the people cannot produce products and services sufficiently productive to PAY FOR the hierarchy of incentives necessary to form a voluntary organizatino of production.

    I am not sure anyone says language is required for cognition. Only that as we progress from cognition through language through reason etc we are increasingly distancing ourselves from sympathetic tests and moving towards entirely analytic tests. Most of this progression is limited by the ability to hold a concept (context) in short term memory (focus), independently of external stimuli (impulse), long enough to iterate through opportunities (search memory, find patterns, wayfind, then falsify (search for negative consequences.).

    IMHO: language is not necessary, only visualization or perhaps better said, ‘experiential revisitation” which we can observe and judge.

    The problem is that without language one cannot develop complex narratives, write them down, or use symbols. But that’s a qualification on top of the original claim: it’s probably correct to say that cognition does not require language, only that language improves our cognitive ability and is so (incredibly) valuable as a competitive technology that there is greater consequence to verbal (SYMBOLIC is what it means), cognition than EXPERIENTIAL cognition. And speech appears to be the gateway humans found for moving from experiential cognition to symbolic cognition.
