  • um… we’re libertarians.

    Um…. We’re libertarians. It’s not just that we have the best political philosophy. It’s not just that we have the best articulated political philosophy. It’s not just that our political philosophy corresponds to human behavior as it is, rather than as we wish it was. It’s not just that we’ve solved the problem of formal institutions. Its not just that our political philosophy is a system for achieving economic prosperity that humans demonstrably prefer. It’s not just that everyone seems to prefer to live in more libertarian countries. It’s that, other than the marxists, we’re the ONLY political position that has an articulated political and economic philosophy; it’s that we have the ONLY political philosophy corresponds with the human beings as humans actually ACT in real life; and it’s that we have the ONLY political philosophy that’s solved the problem of monopoly bureaucracy and formal institutions; it’s that we have the ONLY articulated philosophy that gives precedence to prosperity instead of power. It’s hard being the only rational person standing. People aren’t rational tho. Their moral. At least. In their own terms.

    Friend of mine (died young). Engineer. Used to expressions that I adopted.

    (a) MTBS or, mean time between stupid, was a play on “mean time between failure”. Referring to how frequently an individual was likely to say something stupid.

    (b) “floating pins” meaning, an integrated circuit chip that would produce random outputs despite constant inputs. And referring to humans that did the same.

    If I ever see any man physically abuse a woman again, I will kill him. With joy, and without remorse. If I knew who the guy in this video was, I’d take care of it myself – I put up with enough of that against my mother.

    We are overly servile to the law. The world would be a lot better place if meting out justice was done quickly and passionately by any group of men supplied with twenty feet of rope. The best cure for domestic violence is beating the man to near death and hanging him of the nearest bridge.

    Women are, we men all know, largely nuts. They are impulsive, deceitful, violent, manipulative and abusive creatures. They have to be. They have us around them all the time and we’re dangerous.

    But that doesn’t mean anything. You hurt a woman, every man worthy of the name should end your miserable existence.

    I call bullshit on ‘shelters’ and eduction and all other soft-nonsense remedies.

    We just need more rope.
