Listen, people revolt when (a) there are enough excess(unsatisfied) young men, (b) the status quo is no longer tolerable (c) there is some factor that is discreet enough to rally against, (d) they have something to revolt in favor of, (e) they have some idea of the sequence of actions to bring it about, and (f) a vision of the consequences that is better than the status quo. Talk is cheap. Actions are not. Plans are not. Because both actions and plans are testable.

FWIW: Google translate works fine for me in chat or posts, as long as you avoid idiosyncratic expressions. I know there are French speakers in particular in africa who want to speak with me. I am most comfortable in english, french, italian, german, and russian. But I routinely have conversations in chinese. (although the cultural barrier is higher).

(Great brief conversation with Moritz Bierling about his observations of America. He caught everything important – although It’s clear he didn’t see old New England or the old south. He says he’ll write something about it. I hope so. I want to do the same for germany so I can hopefully deflate the german character and how it is sustained. He has other ideas that sound promising for germany and europe, as well.)
