@SRCHicks: Serious question and one I struggle with: what’s the reason for interest in Kant and Hegel? Is it purely historical? Should we learn something useful from it today? Can we understand persistent success of germanic civilization over the past 1800 years or more through that study?
I have come to see, partly because of your influence, the entire German experiment with philosophy as a counter-revolution against the impersonality of anglo legal, economic, and empirical thought. And perhaps a bridge between it and the same French counter-revolution by Rousseau’s attempt at a secular narrative while retaining the middle eastern mythicism of the Church. (Which seems to still hold the French Academy in rapture.)
Now, I work in cognitive science, epistemology, the logics, language, economics and law, which means I share the english frame of references, so I assume I’m missing something?
Thanks so much for all you have done and all you do.

If you’re making an argument here I don’t see it yet. Women are more violent than men, they just are not as effective at it, and unable to organize it at any meaningful scale. Islam can’t produce an organization, an industry, an army or government or stable state. Same reasons.

No he wasn’t. What geostrategist or economist of any merit has that opinion? He did NOTHING. He met with no one. He gave china open license. And he’s the reason for the decline in american influence that gave china and russia the incentive to return to expansionary militarism.
Are you crazy?
General academic thought is this: some f the population want’s a mommy or priest to make theme feel good (soothe their anxiety) because they both feel out of control, and can’t understand the world we live in. Some of the population wants the opposite because they do understand the world we live in.
Obama satisfied the former and failed the latter.
One of the worst presidents in history with one of the most disastrous legacies.

Your intention wasn’t that clear. Use of the islamophobia means that you’re treating the resistance to islam as a psychological disorder, rather than a rational understanding of it’s dangers.

I don’t know where you get that. Islam has been a cancer for europe since it’s origins. Unfortunately while the greeks and the romans conquered the middle east and unfortunately fought with Persia over it. Fortunately the Germanics drove muslims out of Iberian Europe. Unfortunately the crusaders could have easily conquered the middle east but weren’t interested in it. Fortunately the europeans stopped the Turks in Vienna but didn’t take back constantinople. And unfortunately the europeans did conquer the middle east but wanted nothing of it except to stop it’s intrusion into europe and gain access to its oil.
Islam is a cancer and it even is so for the turks. Who oddly enough are majority genetically greek.

Largely, in the long term yes. IN the short and medium and long term we need the structural reforms I’ve proposed.
