Most languages of peoples that live in an “enemy” situation where the enemy speaks the same language develop coded language as a defense.

We may be seeing this happening at an unconscious level.

Native speakers at a low brain level realize they are behind enemy lines so to speak.

I know from experience movie quotes and childhood TV provide coded speech a non native could never train to understand.

As an aside movie quotes are very powerful as they carry a whole story along with them.

We can choose an arbitrary frame of reference within some set of paradigms, or we can use the OPERATIONAL frame of reference consisting of fully commensurable terms, or the mathematical frame of that same reference, that allows us to speak in a standardized format, such that we can discuss across domains and disciplines”—Yiannis Kontinopoulos

A glimpse into a “hot” US Civil War.

If we expect the initial hostilities to fall along political ideology, left vs right (parasite vs producer), then we can see by the ideology maps that the leftists primarily occupy major cities.

Dense, urban settings. The thing is, even in today’s “functioning” leftist cities, crime is rampant as is refuse and human waste. Some cities like San Diego has recurring hepatitis outbreaks now….

San Fran is swimming in human feces.

Now imagine when the power goes down, the lights go dark, the water stops flowing, the water becomes non-potable, the store shelves run bare and resupplies are sporadic if at all.

That will happen with a week of a shut down.

Power substations hit, key power transmission lines taken out, roadways barricaded or railways lines sabotaged.

It really doesn’t take much for the whole system to screech to a halt.

WE BELIEVE WAR IS POLITICS BY OTHER MEANS AND THEY BELIEVE POLITICS IS WAR BY OTHER MEANS.

    by Greg Hamilton

I became acutely aware of the issue about twenty years ago when I read The Western Way of War by VDH

We westerners have been trained and probably genetically selected to favor one type of war, the decisive battle with terms of surrender. Basically nearly a sporting event.

This led me on a big study of maneuver and asymmetry.

Here my super short takeaway. Asymmetry of beliefs, values, definitions, etc is a harder asymmetry to deal with than weapons, skills, etc.

We can kill the islamic terrorists 100:1 and they consider themselves the victor. And our national will is broken by the 1.

Somalia pirates are savages with rifles and we cant bring ourselves to just overwhelm them and be done with it, so they actually threaten giant steel ships. Asymmetry of beliefs. Our new morals are paralyzing and suicidal.

China conducts non-stop war upon us, its just doesn’t include shooting, and we roll over and take it. Because we believe war is politics by other means and they believe politics is war by other means.

( example: more over the top confrontation from elsewhere on the web )

—“I am using the opportunity your sarcasm presented to stay on message. I deal with science not psychologism, moralism, or presumption of a value of others nor a debt to those who are debtors by nature – these are frauds. Either you can make an argument to reciprocal value or you cant. Since my presumption is you (collectively) are dead weight cost, that you are undesirable, costly, damaging, and disgusting – and your approval, consent, cooperation irrelevant – and that you have nothing to offer or trade. I take the position that it is preferable to separate from or conquer and decimate your political wing rather than suffer your presence. All I have done is provide the argument that moral men may do to you as they wish out of self defense. “—

Twentieth-century cousin marriage rates explain more than 50 percent of variation in democracy across countries today.

Political institutions vary widely around the world, yet the origin of this variation is not well understood. This study tests the hypothesis that the Catholic Church’s medieval marriage policies dissolved extended kin networks and thereby fostered inclusive institutions. In a difference-in-difference setting, I demonstrate that exposure to the Church predicts the formation of inclusive, self-governed commune cities before the year 1500CE. Moreover, within medieval Christian Europe, stricter regional and temporal cousin marriage prohibitions are likewise positively associated with communes. Strengthening this finding, I show that longer Church exposure predicts lower cousin marriage rates; in turn, lower cousin marriage rates predict higher civicness and more inclusive institutions today. These associations hold at the regional, ethnicity and country level. Twentieth-century cousin marriage rates explain more than 50 percent of variation in democracy across countries today.
