Shot a looooong video with Don today. I’m going to edit my notes and post them here before hand. Don’s fantastic. We had a good time. And the pack of beautiful women in the audience drinking champagne and eating fruit and cheese were not a distraction.

Looks like later today we are going to shoot a video. Subject is uniting christian civilization into a division of labor, now that the enlightenment efforts have all failed. Meaning how to repair american idealism and russian nihilism.

RESPONSES I OWE RIGHT NOW (THAT I REMEMBER)

I know I owe a number of you responses.

    1) Analysis of David Friedman’s Machinery of Freedom. (I’m about a third of the way through the first draft. I understand what he’s doing. and honestly, it’s a pretty honest argument (unlike rothbard’s). He’s merely justifying personal libertarianism. But he isn’t depending upon pseudoscience or Kantian rationalism to do it. So my criticism might sound a bit hard on him, but of the libertarians he’s seemingly the best left standing. (Jose) But he is still a cosmopolitan at heart – not a land-holder.

    2) Response to the difference between Aristocracy and the various forms of Republic. (Kyle)

    3) Review of Matters of Democracy and looking at the subreddits for criticism of democracy (Angus).

    4) Working on the demand curve for trust (Vincent).

I also have a lot of newer followers who haven’t been on the journey with me very long and It’s clear that I have to revisit some basic concepts.

I worked on the product pretty much full-time from January through about April. Since April I’ve had some time to get my head back into philosophy. In may and June I’ve tried to make sure I make time for it. So it sure seems like it takes 90 days to get into some pretty deep thought. … Now, I have a couple of nits I have to figure out. Mostly around the writing of law. I think I can do it. So if I happen to seem pedantic this summer when writing about the law, I apologize in advance.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON NOW: THE LANGUAGE OF CRITICISM

While physicists have been using the model of “information” for decades, and while Hayek gave us the same idea in economics and social science, the use of the ‘information’ model of thought has not permeated the social science, nor the psychology of decision making.

What I am trying to develop is the language and argument structure within Propertarianism and Testimonialism that tests whether sufficient information exists, or whether additional information is needed to provide decidability.

Why? Because the general trend in history is that people choose to believe something (act proactively) rather than they justify their beliefs in order to seize opportunity.

In other words, people follow incentives.

  • Just finished Counter-Currents Radio interview with Greg Johnson. Best coverage

Just finished Counter-Currents Radio interview with Greg Johnson. Best coverage of Propertarianism I’ve been able to do. I think at this point I probably can give a one hour lecture and get most of it across pretty easily – and stun the audience with how easy it is to restore western civilization.

I found out at the end that we lost 12 min of audio to a tech problem on their end. So I will try to provide the missing content when the interview comes out.

    Cheers.

(I successfully avoided writing about the accounting functionality for the oversing help system all day yesterday. It was hard work. But today, I’m steeling myself for ledgers, cycles, etc. Sigh.) 🙂

  • Site Update

[I]‘ve finally finished rebuilding the site, repairing all the damage caused by our ISP’s SAN crash last December.  The business has taken all my time over the past five months, so I couldn’t get to it earlier.

    DONE
    – The main menu is working again.  Meaning we’ve restored access to the videos, reading lists and contact page.
    – The Glossary now renders correctly.
    – The Propertarianism section (The Book) is updated to reflect our change to use of ‘Testimonialism’. (Propertarianism and Operationalism are forms of Criticism under Testimonialism.)
    – Edit in place for authors and editors is now functioning – although it still ignores shortcodes when you’re logged in, unfortunately.

    TO DO
    – Edit the Glossary to reflect what I’ve learned over the past four years. I will change a lot of it.  But it’s 100,000 words.  And that’s a lot of editing.
    – Start working on the “Application” section of Propertarianism.
    – Rewrite or complete the Aristocracy section.
    – Heavily revise the Debate Section to reflect what I’ve learned.
    – Add the Timeline
    – Add Mythology Section (literature)
    – Produce a few more videos this fall.
