  • Movie Review: The Lie (2018)

(Writing this review to counter the industry’s postmodern reviewers who don’t understand it.)
For those of us who love movies, especially movies as moral mythology, the tragedy as heroism in the face of moral life, and the play as cultural religion, it’s a tense study in a horrifying parental nightmare.

I was tense the entire time. And the ending was a possibility it wasn’t a probability and it was delivered at the right moment.

Good script, better than good acting from Skarsgaard who always delivers, King who communicated in tone, expression, and body language, the puzzling unsaid. And especially Enos who is one of the top three or four women who can play this complex conflicted mother character.

Nice (slow) pacing letting the actors work rather than over-reliance too much script. Especially good use of light, flawless editing, and post-production color and quality control.

Marketing promised what was delivered. One of my favorite movies of the year. I don’t know the financials so can’t comment. The film is a remake of the German original.

For the commentariat (reviewers) addicted to novelty, it doesn’t fit the postmodern mold of novelty for novelty’s sake, civilizational self-hatred, ridicule of the heroic, and celebration of the depraved ordinary. That’s ok. The commentariat doesn’t matter to those of us who still recognize moral lesson when we see it.

Like Ebert, I rate on the premise that a movie should fulfill its purpose and promise and be well crafted. And my interest is in novel application of universal lessons not novelty without those lessons.

  • MORE: A boyish ignorant mob of leaderless clueless idiots, who preen and posture

    MORE:
A boyish ignorant mob of leaderless clueless idiots, who preen and posture and protest like chimps patrolling their borders. You are stupid enough to white nationalize and Nazify Charlottesville and have no entry and exit plan. You put faith in Trump and blame him for what’s out of his control. You abandon his vote because he can’t make it happen. You ambush your way into the capitol and loot and take selfies, you didn’t take the podium and issue rational moral demands, taking advantage of a one-off opportunity that you’ll never have again. You are the problem. You have no leaders, no strategy, and you think in comic books, superhero movies, and video games. Even the guys in the miltary are so indoctrinated into combined arms warfare that they learned nothing from morons in sandals, about how to run a guerilla war.

YOU, THE RIGHT, NOW HAVE THE GOVERNMENT YOU DESERVE Anyone still wan’t to argue that our strategy this summer, our timing, my claim that Trump very likely couldn’t win, that we needed to act under the presumption that he wouldn’t win, that my claims that the police and military wouldn’t fire on us if we mobilized, my demands for free speech to hold the moral high ground by massing enough conservatives to create the credible threat just to get media attention so we could start an honest public discourse, and that my appeasement of the enemy and not taking the bait was a bad strategy? No? Good. That’s because I was right, the right was wrong, the right is always wrong. And now they’re cowering even more than before, because they are always wrong. I tried. For over a decade. A huge personal cost. We were the only people with anything other than empty words. And you buried us because we weren’t as stupid as you were. And you learned nothing from it. We had the opportunity in our hands. We had enough people. We had timing We had strategy We had surprise And you blew it. For all of us. What else could I have done? I could have spent six months getting John Mark to explain the strategy. First, I couldn’t imagine the right would be that stupid. And second, I didn’t have six months. It wasn’t clear until may or june that covid would take down the economy. The ‘Silence’ movement by the institutions was obvious. Their policy in the first 100 days was obvious if they won. Now, we’re all screwed. Because you will be relegated to working in cells. And cells have no political power, no means of organizing large numbers. No means of concentrating or organizing forces. No means of creating a public discourse. You’ve lost the opportunity to be re-founding fathers, and you’re stuck as imitating the IRA having to fight a long painful, slow, war of attrition against a totalitarian State that is occupied by immigrants and a hostile foreign elite with a few puppet ethnos who are their clients. As soon as Biden has his expected big fail, you get Kamala Harris, a female Barak Obama that’s open with her hatred and extermination of whites, Christianity, rule of law, meritocracy, and honor itself. You always get the government you deserve. And now you have the government you deserve. You have the destiny you deserve – extermination. And god and natural selection have judged you guilty of the sin of false pride, unearned sense of superiority, undeserved self rightoustness, irresponsibility, laziness and cowardice, and gutless chest thumping as you fall for the sucker’s bait of the left. Signed: Furious.

  • Law is as Damaged by The Jews as The Other Natural Sciences.

This is painful. No. Obscurantism and common sophism, and all to common. 1. “Natural Law” (moral, philosophical) (the law is sovereign)-> Natural Law (scientific: reciprocity) 2. Evolutionary Law (People Are Sovereign)(European pre continental and present common law) 3. Common-Law Originalism-Textualism (the democratic polity is sovereign) the purpose is to fore the people and legislature into responsible action. 4. Political Law (Academics, The State is Sovereign) -> Continental Law by Codes 5. Kritarchy (rule by judges, judges decide sovereignty)(Jewish Law) -> Positive Law Legal strategies are demarcated by different allocations of responsibility for decidability. Raz, Kelsen Dworkin and Hartt all come to us and write from the non-european tradition of interpretive scriptural, leal tradition of rabbinical law, that is constantly revised by judges, from their interpretation of a just society at the time. Social Law, Judicial legislation from the bench, that adapts to conditions. Europeans, the founders, and of course, Scalia, come from the ancient European tradition of tort (reciprocity), trifunctionalism, legal neutrality, legal record as evidence, and the responsibility of the polity to steer the direction of society – not the judiciary. The law of peers. Why? The foundation of european law consists in the reciprocal exchange of insurance of defense of self-determination by self-determined means, limiting us to sovereignty in demonstrated interests, reciprocity in display word and deed, duty of performance and care, and adversarial (competitive, adaptive, an evolutionary) markets in all aspects of life. It will take us another fifty years to recover from the damage Raz, Kelsen Dworkin and Hart just as it will take another fifty to recover from the damage of the Marxists in political economy, neo-marxists in aesthetics and culture, postmodernists from sophistry, and Gould Freud and Boaz in pseudoscience. Because of these men, we’ve trained three generations of legal activists to undermine the constitution, the common law, and the long history of european empirical jurisprudence. Exasperating.

Rule of Law. That’s it. The only SOvereignty, Liberty, And Freedom. But you gotta pay for it. And they won’t: it’s a commons.
