    (Curt: as far as I know the jews just have a wider distribution than we do, just as I suspect east asians have a narrower distribution than we do.   • WTC: Please Don’t Be Stupid in my Presence

    Please don’t dork on my wall. Not to be too nerdy, but WTC failed at weakest point: holding the floors to the center and perimeter. so it only had to heat the weakest point on one floor sufficiently to lose half its strength and the weight of the stack did the rest. Pancaking is a very common method of architectural failure and is the principle reason for collapse after exterior wall failure, and foundation failure. In other words, buildings tilt and fall, or collapse and pancake depending upon whether it is built as a honeycomb (apartments) or a stack (office building). There are MANY regulations in place during the construction of buildings precisely because pancaking is so dangerous during the process. Particularly with buildings that jack the floors into place. There have been calls in the past for prohibiting the practice. I don’t know how common it is today. But it appears that most floors are poured in place today. WTC was designed with less masonry, more exterior and core columns, with no midpoint columns, but long spans of floor braces covered with concrete. This meant that floor pressure bearing on the joint between column and floor was not distributed across as many columns by short runs but concentrated in core and edge by long runs. These points only had to soften enough to lose 50% of their carrying capacity. When that happened, the floor sank, exterior columns bowed, and the pressure of the floors above just used gravity and momentum to overload each set of floors below it. Thus pancaking. The MIT report is correct – I cannot find any fault with it. I can however attest to the … dunning kruger effect of everyone who disagrees with it. ======UPDATE=== The building was designed to be light. The columns were box-columns of decreasing thickness with height.
    The diagram attached helps understand that the building was constructed out of TUBES, like building something out of straws. This is why there are huge pieces of the exterior still standing, because unlike most buildings, the exterior was structural. The pictures of the wreckages show the columns as sheet steel. The attached photo shows the I-beam that connected the box columns and a box column it’s attached to. Instead, we all have a much more HONEST and UNFILTERED view of each group’s narrative and ambitions when absent curation by filters. The fact that you’re discounting this is rather odd, and I’ll expand this in a moment. 2) Pinker’s work misses (or artfully avoids the fact) that while violence has seemingly decreased, it has simply moved from physical attack on physical property to financialization and political parasitism that has redistributed middle and working class reproduction familial insurance, and retirement to the underclass and immigrants, and destroyed the nuclear family central to the USA’s groups strategy by malincentives in the name of virtues. 3) The principle problem in primary education is that the differences between racial groups is largely one of neotonic evolution in response to geographic demands. And that we mature at different rates, some faster and some slower, and that the rates of aggression and sensitivity to existential differences in irreversible sexual, social, economic, political, and market value come into play at different times, to different intensities. One cannot have any knowledge of the classroom and understand the violence that children are exposed to. But, you should study economics, law, political history, and war rather than whatever it is you are studying at the moment (software? computer games?), so that your framing, which is ‘ideal’ can be described in existential (real, operational) terms. If you did, you would grasp that you are saying what is common knowledge. So while you correctly understand the problem in ‘private language’ and you argue by ideal analogy, you are stating the obvious to those who are informed, and who argue not by analogy but by descriptive example of demonstrated human behavior. A market allows people with dissimilar ends to cooperate on similar means. A government creates markets by the suppression of murder, harm, theft, fraud, conspiracy, immigration, conversion, economic warfare, and physical warfare, using law, and communicating that law honestly (jurists, education), or dishonestly (priests, indoctrination). These markets function as the ‘games’ you refer to. They government and it’s military and judiciary in particular are compensated indirectly via taxation for suppression of the multitude of rents extracted otherwise. A ‘good’ government is merely one that survives competition so that people can organize, plan, produce, and inter-generationally survive. A ‘better’ government is one that is suitable to the needs of the population in competition with other populations, not one that is ideal and may or may not survive in competition with other governments. A ‘better’ government is one that creates survivable markets yet does not do so by creating rents, and whose externalities are not devolutionary. A ‘best’ government is one that provides higher returns from the markets to the people, than others so that their productivity is higher (time necessary to produce competitie returns is lower). Network effects always and everywhere create a majority (practical monopoly) player, where capital as previously a competitive advantage it no longer is so. And all of that said, people seek at all times to circumvent markets because they ARE competitive. If it is possible for people to seek and obtain power by political means they will do so rather than circumvent the market by cheating somehow, or compete in the market. People don’t want fair. The want unfair in their advantage. Why? Markets (games) produce Meritocracy, and Meritocracy screws the incapable and so, the incapable organize to circumvent the market by cheating, or circumvent the market by political control. Games exist precisely because they have immaterial outcomes. Markets exist because they have material outcomes. Political markets in particular either create more market conditions or less. So how do you get from where we are to the circumstance you are describing, as a series of steps? People don’t want fair. Markets do not seek equilibrium, but disequilibrium until crash. Because people do not seek fair, they seek advantage. And the seek advantage through every unethical immoral, and illegal means available Hence why we have such enormous institutions to prosecute those who circumvent the market. More than half of the population cannot read a manual and repair a device. The world must be organized for them. Because they are the problem. Not us. And organizing it for them requires continuous diligent education, training, disciplining, monitoring, policing, prosecution and punishment.
