  • No. “Libertarians” Do NOT Use Reciprocity

October 30th, 2018 9:29 AM NO, KINSELLA DOESN’T USE RECIPROCITY, NOR DOES MOLLY, NOR BLOCK, NOR HOPPE, NOR ANY OTHER “LIBERTARIAN”.Reciprocity as I use it, also includes a definition of reciprocity as productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary exchange, free of imposition upon the demonstrated interests (investments) of others. And where those demonstrated interests include forgone opportunities as well as seized opportunities to obtain an interest in that which others may (commons) have, or have not yet done so (private), or have obtained by the same reciprocal means. There is absolutely no one in the libertarian community who uses a definition of this precision and scope, and the reason they don’t is their use of Pilpul to create demand for substitution by the listener (audience) thereby creating a pretense of agreement on terms, when terms are not stated, but imagined. (This is the reason libertarianism is another abrahamic deception by suggestion and substitution.) This is why libertarianism relies on principles (vagueness and incompleteness demanding substitution ) rather than decidability (precision and completeness prohibiting substitution). And it is why libertarianism has branches, and why libertarianism failed to maintain an intellectual vanguard other than a few MI mediocre thinkers. A polity must survive competition for territory, trade routes, human capital, population, and productivity, by generating not only private returns but commons sufficient to permit those private returns, commons sufficient to provide multiples on those returns, a means of deciding which private is tolerable an dnot, and which commons are to produced, while defending it from others (competitors and predators) with competing interests. Libertarianism doesn’t do that. It’s the philosophy (ethics) of (((diasporic))) separatists concentrating capital by avoiding the payment of all possible local costs, and specializing in generating moral hazard, profiting from seizing opportunity generated by that moral hazard, concentrating the proceeds in methods of rent seeking, and by that combination preying upon the host until they are ostracized, deported, or prosecuted for their criminality. The only people that would end up in a libertarian community are the same people that would found such a thing: Pirates (europeans), Raiders (muslims), Rent Seekers (jews), Petty thieves (gypsies), a dependent class (underclasses), and an authoritarian leadership. None of which produce local goods, services, and information, but exist to avoid the costs of participation in a polity and its commons, while profiting from it by criminality. This is why each of these people from pirates on down has been ostracized, persecuted, prosecuted, and warred against – and as such why there are no libertarian (parasite or free rider) communities. The only vaguely libertarian communities are parasites or free riders that hold a territory with military protection of a powerful state, but no governance, infrastructure, support of maintenance. In other words the only ‘libertarians’ have been outposts claiming territory as an opportunity for future gain on behalf of a state or empire that cannot afford to colonize it by it’s own resources. That’s what ‘libertarianism’ means. Period. End of argument. Sovereigntarianism (what I do), instead says we organize into an army (militia) as investors, and conquer (take) territory, and construct commons and the many returns on commons, including markets, because markets produce the returns necessary to pay for the defense and institutions and infrastructure necessary to preserve our investment in the polity. In other words, libertarians are parasites, and sovereigntarians are producers.

    TESTING THE THEORY FALSIFIES IT

—“Jesus and his Philosophy are the Foundation of Western Civilization, not Christianity.”—Dan Cox

They are the foundations of christianity and that is all. If that were not the case, other christian sects would produce the same categories of outputs and conditions that western peoples do.

Christian communities tend to produce higher trust. That’s true. THat’s all. And for the reasons I’ve stated.

SORRY, NO ONE WILL EVER “DESTROY” ME IN HONEST ARGUMENT. WON’T HAPPEN.

—“E Michael Jones [would destroy] Curt’s sandcastle he spent all day building”—

Dream on buddy. πŸ˜‰ Never, ever, happen.

Why? Which was the greater influence on the uniqueness of, and success of, the west? The Military, The Engineers and Metalsmiths, the Entrepreneurs(risk takers), The Law, The Philosophers, or the Church?

We SURVIVED Christianity. We were not made by it.

You see, choosing one grammar (model) allows cherry picking and justification. But choosing ALL models doesn’t. Victor Davis Hanson is right. “The Other Greeks”. The only criticism is, that evidence shows, the greek aristocracy were western Aryans practicing ancient aryan sovereignty, reciprocity, truth, duty, contractualism, and law.

It all begins with the militia.

And the militia begins with the Yamna and Cattle Raiding.

Our militia order survived christianity. The farther north the more it survived. The farther south the more it was defeated by the church’s corruption.

That which one perceives as good (survivor bias) may not in fact be good. I this case, while religions (myths, feasts, festivals) are in general a good thing. Abrahamic religions bring forth dark ages, ignorance, death, and decline. No matter how many men in those times try to desperately preserve our ancestral knowledge. No matter how many needles you find in christian, jewish, and muslim haystacks, they will never ever reach anything close to the achievements of western man in the ancient and modern worlds. EVER.

The Christians were destroyers – we just managed to conquer the Church when it’s corruption was not longer tolerable. The Jews were destroyers and still are – by undermining every (109) host country they have been evicted from. The muslims were and are destroyers and still are – by raiding, invasion, and population replacement. Abrahamic religions are the greatest evil ever to befall mankind other than the great plagues and natural disasters. Not even the mongols come close – because they were only greedy – not hateful.

Truth is enough. The Law is enough. Imposition of the Law by organized violence is enough. The organized violence of the militia of men who would be sovereign is enough.

That is the lesson of history.

THE FRAGILITY OF CURRENT STOIC RESTORATION MOVEMENT

—“Curt, it looks like the Daily Stoic has taken a Left Turn. Can you take a look?”—

One of my followers has complained about what she perceived as a ‘turn to the left’ by the Daily Stoic. She asked if I would investigate, since I am advocating the restoration of stoicism as required education – a restoration of our ancient personal religion so to speak.

My followers are unlikely to need training in stoicism in large part because they already practice the habits under indirect guise. Their interest and mine is political, economic, and evolutionary. The cognitive discipline (habits) Stoicism provides, produces superior polities.

Those polities are superior because they are less dependent upon falsehoods to govern. So the direction of the Stoic Restoration has more than trivial importance to me, and to them.

But what troubles me when I survey your (collective) approach, which is the imbalance between defensive self help and detachment – the trap fallen into by the Buddhists – and disciplined self-authoring in the excellences (‘virtues’), and in achieving one’s life’s goals (change).

In other words, without the COMPETITION between rational distance from your emotions, and pursuit of achievements in life, all one does is recreate abrahamic and buddhist detachment from reality. This produces no excellences, only defenses – submission to circumstance.

Western civilization was unique in that we developed Heroism, Individual Sovereignty, Truth and Duty, The Natural Law (of tort), and Markets in all aspects of personal, academic, intellectual, commercial, civic, and political life – avoiding theocratic or bureaucratic monopoly.

It was this set of traits that allowed us to develop all the paradigms (disciplines) all of which were united only by those few criteria above. This meant that law > jury > reason > empiricism > science > technology > medicine could evolve …

… and with them we could – in the ancient and modern if not medieval worlds – drag mankind kicking and screaming out of ignorance, superstition, hard labor, poverty, starvation, disease, child mortality, early death, tyranny, and the victimization by uncaring nature.

The means by which we achieved all of this was competition (markets). And the means by which the stoic virtues can be achieved without causing the same catastrophe that reverses the western achievement, is by both increased independence from our animal intuitions, and …

… application of that mind, emotions, and body, freed of those limits, to achieve the heroic at whatever scale of heroism the individual is able – no matter how large or small. To make the most of the one life we have available to us, in a manner must desirable to us.

Leaving this competition between unsaid, is to leave stoicism incomplete. And to fall into the errors we have seen in prior eras, which slowly cause a people to descend into what is emotionally comforting but in demonstration of consequence indifferent from nihilism.

EXAMPLE: RABBINICAL ARGUMENT > JESUIT ARGUMENT

So for example, you just engaged in the following deceptions:

    1) That the economic history of the world and europe has anything to do with being educated in a european country.

    2) That taxation is equivalent to corruption and capital sequestration

    3) That whether you are ‘convinced’ or not is a matter of the truth or falsehood of an argument – rather than a measure of your dishonesty.

    4) The charity by the church, obtained by deceit, corruption, and rents was somehow comparable to the economic consequences of their corruption, deceit, rents, and capital sequestering.

    5) That the (insignificant) rate of intellectual, technological, material, progress under the church was vastly lower, and that what progress that WAS made was due to the aristocracy and the military, metallurgy, and trade despite the church’s mandate of ignorance.

    6) That Aristotle was somehow not practicing the european traditional method of legal-empirical argument, and applying it as a means of correcting Plato’s idealism, and that it is necessary to be of greek (now greco-anatolian) origin to categorize his thought as european.

    7) That it was not the eastern non-roman empire in collusion with the egyptian and syrian that intentionally destroyed roman civilization through suppression of it’s traditions, closing of its schools, burning of its buildings, and murder of its teachers and rulers.

I mean, that’s a lot of lies in half a dozen comments.

And you want me to take you as other than a perfect demonstration of the abrahamic method of deceit: Sophism, Pseudoscience, and Supernaturalism?

I mean you just illustrated my point so thoroughly that it’s hard to imagine anyone could be that intellectually dishonest without studying how to be.

—“Did you ever read Aeschylus’ “Agamemnon”? Some things can only be learned by suffering–enduring the consequences of your agency.”—Chip Sills

This kind of conflation of heroic effort with suffering is a christian mental disease. if it is some kind of suffering for you then you are mentally, physically, emotionally unfit or inferior…

    its just work.

cancer, serious illness, pain, divorce, loss, this is not suffering but endurance.

suffering is loss regardless of action. all else is work.

If you make the choice it may be Work to achieve or Tragedy to fail to achieve, but Suffering is due to that which is beyond your actions.
