    (a) With just 100 clicks FB can tell everything about you. they can easily filter in what you like and out what you don’t. You wouldn’t believe how accurate it is.

    (b) Just as FB has favorite music and movies, there is no reason why they can’t have “taboos” to avoid by default and allow us to ‘opt in’.

    (c) the reason is that they want to preserve advertiser interest. yet they don’t realize that taboos inform advertisers as well, and create markets as well.

    I am increasingly convinced that an ATT like regulatory scheme should be imposed upon FB/Google if not twitter, that allowed for free speech as long as you opt in and out of topics.

And you want to set up a rothbardian society. How will you do that? Here is how your conversation will start: “if some rich person (please mommy or daddy), or some nation (please king, or government) will fund (pay me to play around) a libertarian order (a place where I can keep my meagre earnings outside of a major market) I will (I fantasize) move there (away from all the creature comforts of an empire and a mixed economy) to a place only other losers like me will go to, and feel good until we fail and blame it on other people who don’t come for not having our fortitude (subsidy). So, why do people come? What will they do? Why will they choose it over the alternatives? how will you create private defense, private, courts, private property, and how will your courts determine what private property, and what contract terms, they will rule in disputes over, and what not? How will you prevent a nearby city, state, or empire from boycotting you via trade barriers? how will you stop organized crime? How will you stop an influx of people who prey upon nearby cities, states, empires by violence, fraud, conversion, immigration, or fiancialization, or some other scheme? Why will WOMEN want to move there? or live there? If you can’t get 100 libertarianis to agree to the scope of non aggression, or the definition of private property, despite 50 years of trying, how will you get them to take real life and property and commercial risks together? In other words, how can you OPERATIONALIZE rothbardianism? How can you bring it into existence in the real world instead of the fantasy world of silly teenagers and immature young males? Or discover a means of preventing such a territory from being populated by raiders of nearby or remote markets who then seize power until the external markets prey upon them. I can’t do it. Tell me how it can be done. Show me people will do so. Show me rational incentives to do so. And the answer is, that you can’t.     If you talk about ‘beliefs’ you’re an idiot. If you talk about convincing others, you’re only slightly less of an idiot. If you talk about power and institutions then at least you’re not an idiot. It’s all well and good to desire conditions under which we have the luxury to choose beliefs and we have the luxury to convince, but one must produce that conditional luxury. The only means of organizing a polity is by the application of power. There is only one means by which a minority can exercise power, and that is violence. With violence you can choose what beliefs people choose from, what choices are and are not available. The left does nothing but lie and propagandize and seize power incrementally and opportunistically. The right does nothing but hope and pray, and let others seize power incrementally and opportunistically. Why? Because the right will not lie, but is afraid to tell the truth. Why? Because the entire fantasy that the right has constructed since the enlightenment is complete nonsense. Man was not oppressed he was domesticated using violence, for the profit of those who domesticated him. Just like every other animal. And that our entire civilization is built upon the accumulated domestication of man for fun and profit over at least three and a half thousand years. That is the answer. So we will either continue to drag mankind out of his animal nature, violence, ignorance, superstition, poverty, starvation, and disease, or we will revert to the animals we see in the muslims.
