The political questions we face are very different if we seek to eliminate error, bias, and deceit, rather than if we seek to identify optimums by which to obtain discounts. People will seize the discounts no matter what. the problem is in decreasing the error, bias, and deceit, so that those opportunities are more readily visible. It’s not that we should ignore error bias and deceit so we must constantly thrash through them to find the opportunities amidst the clutter.

Science sucks. The earth isn’t flat. The sun doesn’t revolve around the earth. Life isn’t designed. And men and women aren’t equal. The existence of inequality forces us to conduct exchanges. The attempt to deceive one another that we are equal is an attempt to force transfers rather than conduct exchanges. In other words, all talk of equality is both lost opportunity for mutual satisfaction, and an act of fraud: theft.

The evolutionary benefit of cooperation was to improve our ability to make war. Against alphas. Against other groups of humans. Against prey. War accelerates evolution.
It was only after we had succeeded at war for a very long time, that we developed cooperation in the division of labor. The division of labor is the result of war.
