There are values to be learned from both Achilles(a King who is not yet noble) and Hector (a warrior who is noble). However, what does it say about rage, power, and forgiveness to men who would be kings?

Iliad and Odyssey are two books in what is called the Epic Cycle. The “Bible” of the ancient world. There were six others that told the other parts. The other books were much shorter And one amendment to them: the Aeneid.

    THE EPIC CYCLE:

    ACT I

    1. Cypria – preamble and first nine years of the war.

    2. Illiad – The rage of achilles

    ACT II

    3. Aetheiopis – death of achilles

    4. Little Illiad – building the trojan horse

    5. Iliou Persis – sack of troy

    ACT III

    6. Nostoi – Everyone but odysseus returns home

    7. Odyssey – Odysseus’ journey home

    8. Telogony – Odysseus gets killed

    POSTSCRIPT

    9. Aneid – The last trojan goes west. (added later).

The others are largely lost. But most of the dramas (plays) take place during these stories. And there is a lot of written commentary. So we can reconstruct them.

The Iliad is “A Story of Achilles Rage” or “The Rage of Achilles”. But Priam comes to Achilles and they settle the rage. He learns to forgive his enemies and abandon his rage.

It is a story of aristocracy becoming through respect and forgiveness. It is a lesson of how a warrior is to to become a king: Through Nobility.

    Q:”THE TRIALS OF ACHILLES?”

—“You keep mentioning trials of Achilles but I have no idea what that’s intended to refer and I wonder if you’re not thinking of labors of Heracles?”—Martin Štěpán

The greeks invented the tragedy (nietzsche), and it was a novel technology of social order that justified sacrifice as heroism, and unity in that sacrifice and heroism. it made tragedy a positive social theme of shared debt (cost) experience.

The Iliad is a tragedy, the tragedy of achilles, as he goes through multiple trials.

The trials of achilles refer to each of the episodes where he prevails – only to ask, but at what cost?

“Trial: a person, thing, or situation that tests a person’s endurance or forbearance.”

It is easy to see why the jews tried to create an underclass Achilles. Because the tragedy had already been saturated across the greek world: “undermine from within.”

The same is true for the Odyssey. if we take achilles , alexander, and odyssey we have the entire arc of tragedy. The ‘weak’ (defensive) version is Arthur and Jesus.

    OUR RIGHT TO RELIGION

I demand the right to personally and collectively pay debts to and gain wisdom from, the entire host of my people’s gods, demigods, and heroes from our foundation forward. To transfer that debt and wisdom between generations, and to defend commons constructed by that debt and wisdom from dilution, diminution, competition, and harm.

SCIENCE: Church Ritual is more important than dogma or belief. The problem is people think the opposite. If we have church rituals (surrender to the pack) where we are all rendered equal in safety for just a moment, any content will do. It causes an addiction response for the same reason pack membership causes an addiction response. Why this is complicated is beyond me.

My question is how to create those experiences across the spectrum of people who need different pack responses. I feel safe around thousands of armed men. Women feel safe in a church full of chattering women. Some people feel safe in a sports arena. Some over family dinner. These are all pack-feast rituals. And we apparently need them to feel ‘whole’ (mindfulness.)

—“So, you would consider Christianity a desert cult?”—Dan Ver Woert

I don’t do name calling, but I would consider the advice of Jesus to be a philosophy that is, at least by present scientific standards, the optimum for man. I would say that as I’ve secularized it, it’s just a statement of social science. I would say that the supernatural elements are nonsense, and that the pilpul and critique with which it was promoted, are a human cancer, but if jesus had been added to the pantheon rather than a monopoly we would have had contributed to the janus-face of man. Instead christianity was used and is used to keep man ignorant by undermining the only ‘true’ religion “debt to ancestors nature in the continuous evolution(transcendence) of man”.

YES I KNOW IT’S HARD FOR CHRISTIANS

I know this is hard for the devoted Christians but until we come to terms with the christian destruction of the ancient world and the jewish, christian, islamic dark ages that resulted we cannot understand the reason for the success of the second abrahamic destruction of the western world by the pseudoscientific version of abrahamism by marxism, cultural Marxism, postmodernism, feminism, and that form of denialism and deceit we call political correctness.

All western people are a mixture of Aryan and Germanic,

Greco Roman, Christian, and Aristotelian-scientific heritages. There is something wonderful to be taken from each.

It’s not hard for me because I find no challenge imitating Aristotle, Alexander, and Jesus as the three faces of our people.

    by Scott De Warren

Christianity attempts to disable Western man’s mind from appropriate responses to distinctions between male/female morality, aristocrat/slave morality, European/Semitic morality by saying “it doesn’t matter as we are all one in Christ (against Rome which symbolizes European civilization) ”.

This denialism of obvious truths is an inversion of the traditional aristocratic truth based honor morality and aesthetic of European civilization (heroism, martial valor, fame and glory, strength, beauty, truth, demonstrated familial excellence over time creating aristocracy and nobility).

Christianity is designed to make humans into submissive herd animals (sheep) as it’s symbolism makes explicit.

Christianity’s hatred of the brilliance of classical European civilization expresses an outsider’s envious critique of an excellence it can never achieve and so wishes to tear down so that its glory doesn’t make the alien’s people look so backward and pathetic in contrast. This envy of and desire to destroy Europeans is at the root of all three monotheist desert cults.

    FREEMASONRY CONTEXT

—“Free maronry became distorted in the early 1800s. You cannot place pre 1800s masons in the same basket as post 1800s masons.

In the early 1800s Free Masonry started using a ritualized form of pseudoscience. This began instructing it’s members in a less empirical method and towards a more hermetic method. Without clear categories, relativism will over time dissolve meaning (nihilism).

That’s my understanding of what went wrong.”—Andrew M Gilmour

Freemasonry like many men’s organizations is an attempt to create the loyalty of military organizations in peace time, and on civic matters rather than in war on military matters.

Western religion evolved from extending the rituals over death into the initiatic brotherhood of warriors where other religions evolved from more abstract supernatural demands.

The high-cost of required behavior(ritual) in joining mens organizations are a means of filtering out those with low agency so that the organization is least subject to undermining by the weak.

    Germanic (Prussian,Austrian,German) Aristocracy vs

    Spanish Aristocracy vs

    Italian Aristocracy vs

    French Aristocracy vs

the rest – minor aristocracies as well.

All faced slightly different problems and opportunities.

The Anglos relied heavily on technology sail and armies. The French on wealth sail and armies, The germans almost entirely on armies, etc. Each was more or less imprisoned by the corruption of the church. Each had a more or less mobile workforce. Each had a more or less literate workforce. Each had more or less national (communal) aspirations.

Freemasonry provided a loyalty system other than family and military that was more ‘honorable’ than the corruption of the church and the court.

There appears to be little meaningful difference between the pre-collapse men’s cults (Mithras, Sol Invictus) and restoration men’s cults (Freemasonry), other than freemasonry was even purer in european physicalism.
