The reason I don’t complain about democracy rather than representative democracy is that if people vote by houses(classes) on proposals by a professional cabinet under a monarch, we get rid of politics. Houses are just juries at scale, and classes the largest jury. Hard to bribe.

I avoid it the Vaxx Topic. It’s radioactive, because it’s politicized – and politicized for the same reason that AGW was politicized. Why? It’s now a moral issue. And everyone – without exception – doubles down on their moral biases. Once a matter is moral it’s not scientific. So trying to use science or morality, only demonizes both science and the opposition’s morality.
