I love the smell of cordite in the morning!
It’s be-ginning to look a lot like war-fare …
E’vry-where we go….
Sing it with me now!

(Gotta admit tho, that a world war would hasten the postwar restructuring and make it far easier to end the globalists and their project. The USA no longer has strategic interest in world stabiligy. We get richer as the world descends into chaos.)

It’d be hard to test the wager. 😉
But I’ve spent enough time with Azov and Praavy Sektor, their military, and our DOD trainers to have a fairly clear idea of how this plays out. If middle age moms I know in Kiev are ready to carry arms it’s not gonna go easy. 😉

OK. Well, I’ll maintain my opinino and evidence given my living there, and daily contact with people who live there. Seven years of russian aggression and unless you’re old and very poor, the people want to be european not russian.

So nato does have resolve. They just know the problem for both Russia and china is economic and population collapse, and the high cost of the end of american insurance of world finance, transport, and tade.
Everyone knows these things. Ergo Desperation.

I’ll stick with my understanding of the relevant economies. It is relatively easy to drag russia into a guerilla war of attrition given how much ukrainians hate russia after seven years of aggression, and russia’s running out of economy and people. Hard to see russia survive.

He misjudged both european resolve and the ukrainian people. He’s as willing as Xi to make his people pay for his strategic achievements. He has reserves for up to a year. The minute their is bloodshed the west will escalate. Russia is a tiny economy.

UA can’t afford to defend them from russian capture without justifying the broader invasion of the country. They can only defend their borders. Russian strategy is cautious and thorough. They know what they are doing.

In either case, he will have restored the cold war conflict at the long-term cost of the Russian economy. If Xi moves on Taiwain or Iran expands, then he can act opportunistically because federations are easily overwhelmed by the rapidity of action by empires.

Hard to imagine Putin will ‘go home’ without a tangible victory. Minimum victory is taking of Donbas republics, and retaining forward positions. This is the least cost victory. If Ukraine attempts to re-take them then he will use the border forces against the capital etc.
