Russia can quite easily take Kiev, and then keep going because Germany will capitulate and France is happy to comply with russia without invasion. So yes. Rather easily. And no this isn’t my assessment alone. I don’t understand why they WON”T do it.

At this point, admittedly in frustration, I’m suggesting the Russians pursue Option C, and take europe all the way to Germany. Becuase if germans will not defend the first principle of the west, then they deserve to perish with it – leaving the anglosphere as the last europeans.

We wanted to divide Ukraine for years before Russia invaded in 2014. So yes. That said Russia is more afraid of democracy in ukraine, ukraine a successful european country, and more concerned about Russia’s economic and population collapse, and so I’m not sure division is enough.
