Slept very well, and so I’m having one of those ‘very good’ days. Working on teaching ‘the method’. Feeling awe. Feeling ‘confident’ and a bit excited where I have generally felt ‘overwhelmed’ and depressed by the impossible task I set myself to – or the task I asked the gods for, or the task the gods set me to. I am not really sure of my own agency in this matter.

    0. “I cannot try to understand until I know I do not understand”.

    1. “I cannot understand until I am ready to understand.”

    2. “The gods reveal to me the answer when I am ready.”

    3. “I am most successful in understanding when I do what my gods advise me.”

    4. “I am happiest when I am successful in transcendence through understanding – when I have achieved an increase in agency.”

    5. “I feel ever closer to the gods through each success at transcendence.”

    (no dipshit-negative comments pls)

Alexander is a dear friend of mine. And I post this here despite that the usual racists may comment, because it is how I wish all of us thought about our nations. How can we act to better ourselves? All people can transcend. But it is not through religion, not through government, and not through authority, but civic action.

What does it take to make men like this who will act, rather than men that pray to mosque or church or state?

All nations can transcend. And there is no problem of conflict when we help each other do that.

When the foreigners ( Europeans ) noticed we had or have huge problems and made or make accurate remarks about us that sounded derogatory, or when they do now, we say they are racist. But seriously, why is it that we, on a very rich land, remain poor, ignorant, and largely incapable of managing our disease burden?

We troop to foreign lands and seek not to come back. We parasitise and beg foreigners for money, and we claim we are not backwards, primitive, and yet to transcend?

When asked, we rationalise that the white man enslaved and weakened us. And so what?

I am saying that the white people did not get here through shirking of responsibility, being led by their inferior IQs, and being wastefully religious instead of taking action to solve problems. In Ghana, we focus on church and mosques through azaa prophets and mallams at the expense of THINKING and action to solve. We hate problem solving as we pray increasingly and unceasingly while creating more problems than already exist. Who does that?

I don’t even get it sometimes.

I identify with Hayek. When I read him I hear myself. His temperament. Opinion. Even the tempo of his prose. Although I am less organized (or rather less professionally disciplined). And I have taken on a public persona more suited to our time and my mission. After hayek, certainly Machiavelli, and a now and then Hume. I suspect if Aristotle’s work survived intact, I might find familiarity there, but too far apart in frame of reference. Modern translation obscures the difference between the greeks we would find alien. We are children of the pragmatism of rome atop our germanic intuitions and traditions, atop our aryan genes and instincts.

( Health update: I’ve been ‘recovering’ for nine months now. I’m watching my work and it’s almost back to pre-disaster mode. Not quite. I’m still a bit fragile in a lot of ways. I have to work at maximizing my sleep, eat enough, drink enough water, limit my working hours, and be liberal with anti-histamines. I have to keep my obligations limited. But I’m slowly recovering. The big self-hurt was in trying to maintain such a heavy work schedule without recovering first. I’ve recovered more in the past six weeks than in the previous eight months. And going forward I am going to have to deal with the fact that I am no longer physically capable of the same workload in my twenties, thirties, and forties. Negative returns on investment when I try. I’ve been able to exercise a bit and get some sun. I am pretty sure that if I can increase my cardio and a bit of my strength that will improve also. But at least I am recovering quickly whenever I exercise. And that wasn’t happening before. )
