THE RED PILL IN UKRAINE
I have taken the red pill, even though I never really needed a big dose of it in the first place. You should have seen my wife’s face when I said “I am not a support system for a vagina. Either this relationship is beneficial in achieving both our goals or it is not.”
On the other hand I have always believed in helping the women I am with to be all that they can be, and I come from a family of strong women who never see themselves as proletarian victims. And I don’t buy any feminist nonsense at all.
The problem for me, here in Ukraine, is that the level of ..let’s say, suppression, that I would have to engage in is beyond my tolerance level. I am just not willing to become that person. Women are fiercely proud here, never apologize the way we are taught to in the west, and in my view speak unacceptably to men. Because here, they have to. And, men often respond with unacceptable (to me) levels of physicality. I am not willing to behave that way. I still have enough chivalry in me. People in this part of the world don’t.
Talking with a friend tonight, (who I respect very much) reminded me that you can take the red pill in the states. But you don’t need to take it here. And while I’ve taken the red pill, I am willing to return to chivalry. But if I must abandon chivalry, I’d rather not play in that game at all. It’s chivalry as a demonstration of confidence and capability, not it’s more primitive component, physicality, passionate anger, and violence.
The Red Pill returns us to Chivalry. But here, its barbarism. I won’t go there.

(man talk)
Is there ANYTHING more pleasant than sitting with your friends, over food and drinks, talking about business, politics, and women? I dunno. Add a fire and all we have done in 10,000 years is increase the number of syllables in a sentence.
Same subjects. More parts. That’s it.
🙂

(The fashionistas were right about one thing: multiple layers of polo shirts are really awesome when it gets cold. And it’s cold here today.)

(To get in trouble tonight, or not to get into trouble tonight? That is the question. And nobility doesn’t enter into it. It’s a purely pragmatic question. A room full of crazy beautiful people and loud music and drinking? Or go to bed, be a good boy and take the early train in the morning? 😉 )

(Woke up sick as a dog, electricity out, and construction tearing the floor above me apart. And now I know why this beautiful apartment is available for short term rent.)

BACK ON THE BOOK
I have been working on Oversing and personal matters pretty hard for two months, and only written a lot for the past few days. And apparently, according to conversation tonight, I’m in trouble with my peers for not working on the book more than I have been.
I see this as a crucial time for the product and I have to make sure that features get completed rather than features added. And that seems like a struggle. We need to finish features. And I’m stressed about it.
Last I understood, we agreed that I would produce the outline (the powerpoint), and the videos. And that I would then get the book out. I also agreed to simplify the book along rothbardian lines, rather than construct it as an academic treatise.
Right now I seem to have dealt with philosophy per se, and have to work through the various institutions and possible combinations. It is much easier than the work on truth. But it is territory, some of which I will have to leave open for empirical analysis. I can only suggest possible solutions that I think will work, using general principles. And that bothers me.
The rest of the work is literally ‘fun’: applications of propertarian reasoning to all manner of moral questions.
Those take a few days of thought and then a day or two of work.
I gotta keep the guys happy or they’ll stick me in a tower somewhere until I”m done…. lol

It’s Less than 9 hours from Dresden to where we are in Lviv, about 7-9 hours from Lviv to Kiev, and about 11+ hours from Kiev to Lugansk where the fighting is. That means the distance from us here in Lviv to Lugansk is about 18-20 hours drive, and the distance to Germany is about 9 hours drive. I hope that puts it in perspective.
