  • The State is a Vehicle for Lying

    [W]omen work so DAMNED hard at maintaining relationships. Men work so hard at providing. Yet we are both ignorant of the costs of the other. In my life, I have been awed by the determination of my significant others to preserve and improve the relationship just as diligently as I have worked to provide for it.

    Of all my insights the one I think I have found most helpful is the abandonment of the myth of equality, and its replacement with the explanatory power of an intertemporal division of perception, cognition, knowledge, labor, and advocacy where voluntary cooperation acts like prices and voluntary exchange do: the information system by which we make use of our distributed perceptions. This is why democratic government has failed: like Keynesian economics, it distorts our information system. So westerners participate in suicidal genocide because our information system is overloaded by lies at every single level: from the pricing system to that of voluntary cooperation. The state is a vehicle for interference in the information system that perpetuates the species by voluntary cooperation between different temporal perspectives: short female. and long male.. The state is a vehicle for LYING.

    Most of the money-making male leads do ‘play themselves’. Because audiences want to live through THEM in the circumstance of the character, not the character himself. Although it’s rather obvious it is lost on most. The best way to improve as an actor is to increase your skill at displaying emotional range. But the audience likes YOU as a person, displaying a range, in the character’s circumstances.

    Hence why most great male leads are conservative: so are most men.

    It’s also why most dramas place middle-class people in extraordinary roles.

    Our middle class is our most heroic.

    2) GOSSIP: The (Prioritization of Commons? Consumption?): Priests, Public Intellectuals, Academics: the Priestly class.

    3) REMUNERATION: The Organization of Production: Entrepreneurs: The economic class.

    4) LABOR: The production of knowledge, good and services, and reproduction: Scientists, Engineers, Labor

    —If I understand correctly, your novelty is arguing that ideas are the structure and genes are man’s accommodation of them. You can say ideas (civilization) and genes inform each other. Perhaps the influence of ideas is underestimated. I don’t think it’s correct to say that one completely determines the other. Different civilizations (ideas, norms, institutions), create different reproductive incentives which lead to genetic differentiation of groups and, after a very long time (many millennia) may cause species to diverge. My hunch is that people’s genetics (moral intuition) will cause them to look at a philosophy and ask “how can I seek status within this system?” Genetics may determine what strategy individuals adopt: Express it. Protect it. Enforce it. Pretend to express it while cheating. Openly Flout it. Ignore it. Undermine it.— Roman Skaskiw

    [S]maller brains, greater aggression and greater reproduction defeat larger brains and lower aggression and lower reproduction? Is this a permanent equilibrium? Or is this one of those processes that is deterministic, and that eventually all the calm, smart people are outbred and conquered by the aggressive impulsive dumb people?

    You know, he was wrong about a lot of things, but Gould said that there was no material advantage to intelligence unless in increased reproduction.
