Peak Human: Gould was right. Intelligence is a weak, expensive advantage. Reproduction and aggression win. An 80 IQ is optimum for both.

… either way we argue not right or wrong but reproductive strategy. That is all that is playing out.

The fallacy of the anglo aristocracy of everyone is illustrated by the demand for reason from those who lack it.

.@SteveFriess If I believed something very sincerely and passionately, I wouldn’t adopt a strategy that obviously undermined it.

What Steve means is that some people pursue their genetic interests impulsively, and others rationally. 😉

.@ThomasEWoods that’s *your* “strategy.” Some people don’t choose their activities on strategy – they do it on what they believe.

You do not understand the language of conservatism. He is speaking moral language. Ask Jon Haidt what that means…

THE PROBLEM OF INTELLIGENCE
Those who have no ability but are aware enough to resent it: 80’s
Those who can learn by imitating others: 90’s
Those who can learn by reading the words of others: 100’s
Those who can master calculations and judge the words of others: 110’s
Those who can master independent research without instruction: 120’s
Those who can synthesize and communicate ideas: 130’s
Those who can invent new ideas: 140’s
Yet this this transition from knowledge accumulation to knowledge production does not make all of life. It merely tells us that in any distribution of people that there are difficult limits to overcome in the construction of a harmonious, survivable, and competitive polity.
PS: I believe this is the correct method of describing differences in intelligence.

My point is almost always the same. All the good people come from suppressing the reproduction of the bad people, just as all trust comes from suppressing theft, just as all truth comes from eliminating the false and deceptive.
Eliminate the bad and false and only the good and the true can remain.

Very Feminine. Typical Freudian psychologizing. “Acceptance”
The Masculine : “Change”
– from shock
– to disbelief
– to sadness and depression
– to rage and anger
– to judgement
– to resolution
– to inquiry
– to plan
– to action
– to determination
– to conquest or defeat.

we are always genetic and biologically motivated. We never convince anyone. We just sell them a new means of profiting
