And who refused to teach them history, economics, personal finance, because you (the left) is afraid of exposing the material reality of sex, class, and ethnic differences. Worse in that income reflects capacity bear increasingly complex responsibilities?

You can’t complain about what you brought about.

Meanwhile, I’d respond with “I understand the political incentive to pretend that every individual is competent to vote on the merits of the issues having understood the issues” but if you engage with the evidence voter survey and behavior, it couldn’t be further from the truth. Most people are somewhere between incompetent and clueless.

So you keep voting to make it worse.
