I still don’t see the point of this conversation. The genetics, language, traditions, norms, institutions are the best documented in the world, and resulted in the english invention of the modern state. Different countries refer to one another by different names. Same with A-S.

We use the term Anglo Saxon in the states as a proxy for english, and partcularly middle class and upper middle class english in america. White Anglo Saxon Protestants. But its a class identfier more than just a national one
