Alex. Resident of Ukraine. Experience in Intel. Experience in the Maydan revolt. Experience with Pravy Sector and Azov. Experience in training volunteers. Experience with transport and supply of volunteers. Direct interviews with combatants. Direct knowledge of identification of bodies. So yes, it was a genuine popular movement. Yes we wanted to follow Poland into prosperity. Yes we wanted to ‘get rid’ of the eastern ‘Russian transplants’ that were the source of corruption and organized crime just like they are in the baltics. We were discussing how to divide the country for years. It was made worse by Yanukovych buying votes for as little as 200 UAH. But not by Russian invasion and continuation of undermining of our government. We couldn’t get an ounce of help from the west. You have got to be either a Russian apologist or Russian funded. I’m not going to waste my time on countering your ‘uninformed opinions’. I’ll let the evidence speak for itself. Can Ukraine meaningfully fight Russia? No one on earth can fight Russia in a land war. The problem for Russia, is whetherh they can hold any territory that is west of the Dnipr? Not without sending and endless supply of body bags home. But strategically, Russia dosn’t need to move into greater ukraine. It needs only to work with China to time both Russian and Chinese expansion at the same time (and perhaps Iran into the Saudi’s Persian gulf) to collapse American political and military dominance, collapse the pretense of NATO, cause the natural French-Russian alliance to dominate germanic and slavic europe, and to restore the natural conflict of civilizations now that the age of european expansion has come to an end.
