—“In the Species of Great Apes documents on your site you classify Dravidians as their own race. Can you share your criteria and evidence for this? Cheers.”—
Thanks for noticing.

The solid data on sub-continental indian genetics only came out in 2018 and 2019, and so I held the group out (like I have the Austronesians) because I wasn’t sure at the time.
-
At present we know that the dravidian speakers, from present day iran, are a southeast caucasian group of early farmers that integrated (male export) to se asian hunter gatherers.
-
And that the IE steppe invasion that replaced them continued the integration which is now a nw-se cline of 30-70 or so.
-
So india reflects a smilier pattern of multiple migrations as does europe with the only difference being the hunter gatherer populations were substantially different genetic pools.
-
As for the category ‘race’ I am still of the opinion that the three (four, five) ‘races’ were speciating and are correctly categorized as species, and that what we currently call the “Races” should refer to “subspecies”
-
And so the correct use of ‘race’ is in the ethnic rather than genetic category: sub-races, tribes, and clans are ethnicities consisting of subspecies and all other attributes of linguistic, mythological,, social and institutional sharings.
-
And the modern denial of this (rather obvious difference) between humans and all other creatures we categorize is the source of confusion. Why? because species across the rest of the taxonomy, simply refers to any adaptation to local environmental conditions sufficient to cause reproductive bias in mate selection. While humans are promiscuous enough to attempt to mate with anything at all possible, we certainly still demonstrate (overwhelmingly) in-group selection. So to claim our promiscuity (sheep included) eradicates the difference between our species is intellectually dishonest. We are creative we mate with everything just like we make use of more resources of the universe than any other life form so far.
I will try to make time to update the document in the near future, I’m just extremely overloaded.
