The first octagonal barrel HK pistol, from which all others were derived. Includes the spring around rather than below the barrel, providing lower barrel axis. HK P9 in single, P9S in double action, and yes they made on in select fire (full auto). I don’t like double action pistols unless I can carry them cocked and locked. But this is a small comfortable perfect pistol. In my opinion it was, and remains the upgrade to the Walther PPK. However, later models have a ridiculous trigger guard and long pull double action trigger.
