We evolved as pot-makers and clay sculptors: constructing what we can with our hands. But the universe beyond our touch is discovered by the hammer and chisel, steadily carving the masterpiece of truth from the stone.

Truth is subtractive. What remains after we pull away error, bias, wishful thinking, suggestion, pseudoscience and deceit, is what remains for us to wonder at the truth of it all.

Humans can evolve into the gods we seek.

That is our only purpose.

To carve away our ignorance, and save ourselves and the universe from our shared ends – as gods.
