I don’t hate people. Hate like anger makes you dim. It makes you care about trivialities. You hate people because you think they have agency – and are in control of themselves. But very few of us have agency, and everyone else is running archaic software that needs an upgrade. From my position of agency, the world is full of children running with scissors. And only men of agency, who create institutions to limit the harm people do to one another are capable of teaching them deliberately in education, normatively by saturation, and legally by the threat of punishment. Men of agency need the power to do that. those who lack agency need to fight to give men of agency the power to do that.#
