HOW AND WHY UPPER CLASSES ACT DIFFERENTLY
There are only three movies that present the world of business “at the top” and how people from those classes operate in real life: Margin Call, The Big Short, and The Social Network.

Other than those, nearly all television and cinema consists of people in upper-middle to lower-upper class capacities acting like lower-middle-class actors demonstrating lower-middle-class behaviors.

Why? Grownup discourse obeys a very rigorous protocol. Those people from the intergenerational wealthy families that are ‘out of sight’ follow an even narrower protocol.

Why? Both groups are conscious that nearly everyone wants something from them and the protocol exists to limit and regulate those opportunities and discussions.

In effect, your openness across the spectrum decreases (which is counter to the production of drama) with increases in your responsibility, and people’s tendency to want to take advantage of opportunities with you because of it.
