A Florida getaway condo. How droll.
Try the Hotel Mediterraneo in Sorrento, and take a dip in the bath in the caves hewn from the lava rock. Then rent a motorcycle and drive the Amalfi, stopping for fish at the first family restaurant that inspires you. Or, my favorite, the Waldorf overlooking Rome. Morning s_x on the balcony in the sun with your favorite woman, before coffee, fruit, and pastries. (But, ugh, that floor with the tacky glass security door for diplomats and their entourages is eh.) If the sun isn’t your thing (it’s not necessarily mine) I prefer the Loire valley, and while I do have a favorite at Le Lion de Angers, any Chateau with a B&B, large lawn, and wireless will do.
