Now some group of cunning right-wingers who are determined to prevent the destruction of rule of law, the constitution, the natural law it depends upon, and our civilization that discovered and applied natural law, might ‘construct’ such a scenario to end the war against them.

AFAIK a state can only violate a judgment of the supreme court if it is beyond their constitutional authority. Their constitutional authority is outlined in the constitution, bill of rights, and amendments. Among those is the right to bear arms.
What happens then when states do?
