3/4 I can understand my 20-yr marriage as fulfilling my desire to create a power couple – and it worked. But why is it ‘power couple’ not the general ambition, and instead, marriage for just sex, consumption, and entertainment? It’s just a value in the upper classes now (again).

2/4 I have loved each of these women – it’s easy for me. It’s in my nature to love most people. That said I have only loved one of them with everything in me (American). And only one of them with everything in me AND infinite respect for her. (Ukrainian).
