2/ Minimum victory conditions (easily obtained) are republics and crimea. He will keep forces in place, despite attrition, to conduct sieges until at least minimum conditions are met. And any promise of withdrawal is untrustworthy.

1/ It’s not possible to predict #Putin’s strategy now. At the very least he’s trying to unite Crimea and the separatist republics, so that #Russia has a land route to the strategic ports in Crimea. However, Russian doctrine is opportunistic, patient, and tolerant of casualties.
