RE:INVESTMENTS: “Valued at $550M” means “by giving them this X money, within Y years, we expect them to be able to exit us at 1B valuation, doubling our X money”. It does not mean that the company is worth 500M. Nothing of the sort. This is how financial ignorance is politicized.
