Religion(at least abrahamic religions) create trust from authoritarian supernatural scriptural compliance (low risk) producing stagnation or decline instead of trust from increasingly complex voluntary networks of procuctive cooperation(high risk). Risk+Trust=EvolutinaryVelocity.

First matters less than Rate of Evolutionary Computation. Wealth matters less than production of commons.
