@Communism_Kills Thinking…. Various bouts of depression and eurphoria (mania) appear to produce a disproportionate number of literary works of merit (with disproportionate number of suicides). Then again, so do almost all stimulants – (with nasty long term consequences.) That said, in the absence of socialization and responsibility the tendence of about a third of the puopulation to manifest neuroses and eventually to escalate into some level of psychosis doesn’t provide *any* benefit to society. So are a few bits of literature poetry drama and music worth it?
