The actors can ONLY Depend on the Armorer for the safety of weapons. This is a specialized discipline for precisely the purpose of mitigating the risks of casts using dangerous props.
Either the weapon failed, Armorer failed, or disaffected crew ‘hacked’ the rounds (murder).
