Even such, in math many terms are conflated. In fact the reason for most nonsense in math is the conflation of counting and direction. Can you have a negative quantity? no. You can simply record a loss. Etc.

@WorMartiN It’s not conflation. 😉 You’re conflating a case with a category and she’s using the case to disambiguate the category. I can disambiguate length the same way she’s disambiguating adding (combining).
