@Deplorme@alternative_right But you can get away with anything you can get away with. It’s just rational to act by reciprocity, sufficiently that you don’t get caught. This is why most sociopaths live normal lives. It’s just rational to act by what we consider moral norms. There is no god. There is just one rule – survive, invent, adapt, evolve, reproduce – and given our extremely costly brains, and our extremely time sensitive bodies, and the extreme value of both knowledge, technology and cooperation, the only solution to survival is cooperation. So people do so. We invent gods to explain why evolution forced us to behave this way. Becuase we were too ignorant to understand the concept of evolution. So no, the evidence is clear across all human groups. Man evolved quite by accident into specializing in evolution: innovation, adaptation, and so evolution. The universe can only compute by trial and error. It cannot calculate by memory, prediction, and testing. Only man can calculate. We are gods in the making. And gods are just visions of what we wish to be if we were no longer the victims of the universe’s hostility to life.
