@Flotsamjetsam Not really translatable. Dharma describes a feeling or experience of awe, when living in accordance with nature and the gods, but it does not say what living in those terms means. Furthermore, it’s not clear that the laws of nature are ‘divine’ or even beneficial, but a constant threat to us, so in living according to the laws of nature, is a scientific or empirical term in the west not a moral or religious. This is a common problem because european thought is not compatible with religious thought which is why we have two vocabularies for religous speech and ‘real’ speech. Example, faith and belief are religious terms, and trust or confidence the ‘real’ terms.
