A year of engineering. A year of law. Four years of fine art. I should have taken my own advice and switched to philosophy or literature, but art is … spiritual. It’s like studying theology – but for the secular. Only life mistake is not taking prof’s adivce to switch to lit.

And I was the ‘straightest’ guy I knew in uni. Coke was taking out students like the plague. I caught the flu that escaped the lab and lost 30lbs. HIV didn’t exist. None of us were fat. Weed was cheap. Diversity wasn’t a thing. Our only fear was the bomb.
