(diary update)
Main Mac repaired. (One ‘odd’ key. Replacing a keyboard is a nightmare. And a fan doesn’t appear to be working. Connectors are too fragile). Second mac replacement hard drive is on order. Doesn’t seem I lost any work, but recreating my workspace windows took HOURS.
