@Horsebreath Quite a lot better than most people send me. The strong insight is a division between war-rights and powers and going-concern rights and powers. The city-state thing is extremely dangerous without rural representation. It allows the cities to do anything to the rural areas and they would do so. The population thing is a problem since that means we’re in the third world even faster. It doesn’t solve the problem of division of powers or centralization. It doesn’t affect the economy.
Here is what I love: whoever wrote it is trying. Any shit-for-brains can propose a system of government in shallow prose. and this one has a few good insights. But People have no fking idea how hard it is to write a constitution that’s even stronger than the american. Every other constitution in the world is a fucking joke by comparison. It took 70 of the best minds of the best age in history, four months six days a week to write the American constitution, and it still has gaping holes in it. I’ve spent years doing it myself and repairing those holes and fixing the economy and education and I tremble at how brilliant those founders were.
If you can’t write a constitution for the government you imagine, and you can’t defend it against all the attacks that can come at it, then you’re just talking out of your ass. And you know hwat? That means everyone is talking out of his or her ass. 😉
Summary. Good try. Good first draft.
