Zoroastrianism was an attempt to create a universal standard of virtue (that was indeed virtuous) in Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds. A good supreme being vs ~evil ~devil, truth vs deceit, good vs evil, heaven vs hell, free will, judgment at death.
