The Saudis have been, are now, and must be in the future, pragmatists, not loyalists: 34M people, 800B GDP, oil price dependence, an expansionary hostile Iran, Islamists, alliance of necessity with natural enemy Israel, & USA has no strategic interests in the region any longer.
