Genetic data looks like south eurasians moved west and populated north africa, then afro asiatic spread from nile and red sea region into levant and Mesopotamia. But there are three competing theories. Sumerians did not speak it. Earlier peoples did. Many isolates.

@anzarmlateef @AlSisiAnswers East african rift valley is the urheimat for homo sapiens sapiens. Exit was across the straights. the earlier north exit was defeated by Neandertals in retreat. Arabization of east Africa was relatively recent beginning in (i think) 800 bc.
