In other words, we humans evolved (and continue to) to maximize the exploitation of opportunity for adaptability first biomechanically, then socially, then cognitively, then by physical tools, then by increasingly abstract tools.
Flynn Effect and Moore’s Law are manifestations.

We first evolved empathy for experience, then sympathy for intentions, then sympathy for thoughts, then applied that to animals to hunt, then to things to hunt them with, and to increasingly complex things and processes, then using complex tools to do more of it.
