Persian and European Traditions perceived time, change(stasis), and man’s relationship with nature, other men, and the gods, in polar opposition to the much older fertile crescent civilizations that saw the eternal, heavens, cyclical, and submissive. The IE: Freedom FROM them.

Newcomers on the world stage, Persian and European empires were both IE (not middle eastern), whose primary purpose was fighting to preserve their first-principle: self-determination, by denying competitors, by funding a military to increase trade and taxes that resulted.
