So, I think he might be very close using vectors. If vectors that produce triangles (which has got to be the answer – otherwise state has to be kept somewhere it can’t be kept) can be described with math (statistics) we can explain our science (general rules).

Now I don’t know why Wolfram chose vectors rather than geometries, but he ended up as I predicted with triangles, and this appears to create a looser spacetime than tetrahedrons that I would have presumed, but the messiness of looser spacetime is more error tolerant.
