The Serpent’s promise of wisdom is baiting into hazard with false promise of freedom from natural law.

It’s pretty much exactly how children are lured into questioning tradition: false promise of knowledge forbidden to them by their evil parents.

Every Satanist / Gnostic / cult leader does the same thing – pretends to reveal what God wanted hidden.

The original Hebrew emphsizes that the fruit “looked good to the eye”, but what not good in reality. The Serpent was a scam artist luring humanity into rebelling against God’s mission for humanity: to rule the Heavens and Earth.
