(humor)
When covid is over does that mean I can keep spending my days in loose oxford shirts and boxer shorts? I mean, if the gay fashion designers get to have their middle eastern saggy-pants, can’t the straight community return to our tradition of blousy medieval blousy shirts, short-pants, and kilts? I mean, the purpose of trousers is riding horses. Unless you ride a horse, bicycle, or motorcycle, trousers are unfortunately constraining. Sure. I mean, if you’re in the trades, blue jeans are affectively light armor. That’s a good thing. But I mean, we’re basically wearing British cavalry officer uniforms without the tails. But medieval wear is really just a continuation of the most comfortable clothing in the world. A Tunic, baggy breeches, a belt. 😉
(real answer: loose clothing became a liability in the industrial age – as daily industrial accident videos from the muslim-dress world make rather obvious.)
