I was surprised, given the setting, but this is deep-state free, middle-class delivery, by an american guy who can’t dress himself, of middle east from a european point of view, meaning demographic, economic, military, and strategic.

Why? Because (Military) grownups think strategically, militarily economically, and demographically. Democratic Governments and women think the opposite.
